SUSE Rancher 2.6 provides critical updates to the entire platform that will help enterprise customers better manage their growing Kubernetes environments. The improvements include a redesigned platform experience with a new clear user interface with improved logic-based workflows, full lifecycle management of hosted Kubernetes clusters in Microsoft AKS and Google GKE in addition to existing Amazon EKS functions, as well as new security, risk and compliance functions.

  • More confidence in building applications and scaling environments with improved security and compliance functions for companies. To help users strengthen their existing and new cluster environments, SUSE Rancher 2.6 has started integrating with SUSE Linux Enterprise Base Container Images (SLE BCI) to provide a free, open, flexible and secure foundation. SUSE Rancher 2.6 now also offers improved traceability of audit logs to help operators meet audit compliance requirements. A technical preview of GitOps deployment with Cluster API is also available in SUSE Rancher 2.6 to enable IT Operators to create custom cluster templates to reduce the risk of user error and standardize deployments.
